ARE ROOTED IN EARTH WISDOM.
Earth Wisdom Tenders
Tending to all life on Earth in our troubled time, we are an eclectic group of people who are learning to deeply listen to the Earth, to the visible, the invisible and to the non human world ~ to honour their wisdom and knowledge, and to hear what they need from us right now at this time of crisis and extinction.
Honouring the wisdom of the Earth and Indigenous cultures, we work with the cycles of nature and the cosmos, and what we perceive as the great mystery.
Longing for a place of healing and connection, we seek to create a re-emergence and a rewriting of these ancient ways, through ceremonies, rituals, initiation and rites of passage, to enable our deep soul connection and wisdom to reawaken.
We sit in Council of all Beings, we Tend to the Children of all Species, we Initiate our Young ones, we claim our Elders, we Ancestralise our Dead and we recreate Community as a service to all of Life.

Earth Wisdom Tenders

a bit of 'her' and 'HIS'story~ How did it all start?
The Earth Wisdom Tenders came from a deep enquiry during the preparation of the October XR Actions 2019. Faith Bridge was born seeking a voice for other than humans. Azul was contacted for the Message of Water.
We would be walking and seating beside representatives of large religions like Muslim, Christians, Jews, Buddhist, Hindus... So who were we? What were we called? What were the humans who speak for the other than humans? Who are the ones today whose faith, beliefs and spiritual practices are rooted in Ancient or New Earth Wisdom?
We let ourselves get worked by that question for days and nights.
Time was pressing, banners had to be printed, leaflets also. We needed a Declaration. Who were we? That question kept being taken to the river, to the forest and to the night. No we were not pagans, not shamans, not witches and not druids ~ for the obvious reasons that we were not apprenticed to their practices.
What Earth Temple could take form that would be wide and wild enough to welcome all the eclectic people who are called back to Earth and her Wisdom.
One dawn in Devon the words came together as beads on a gold thread spun from dark matter:
EARTH WISDOM TENDERS.
We long to tend to the wisdom of our Earth through being Soul Activists, we tend to our regular practices and we bring them to where they are needed.
We took form, we were born...fast!
In October 2019 a small flock of us went to London, we held ceremonies with the bones on the shore of the river. We summoned and soothed the bones of our ancestors seeking their support for the XR Actions. Later on we gathered again in grief ceremony for the humpback whale who died in the river.
We placed our altars and animal flags with the Council of all Beings right in the eye of the chaos and 'hurricanes'.
We placed Earth Tenders Altars* in conferences and in the midst of XR Actions. We created oasis of connection with the living world and with a sense of deep belonging. We offered spaces to grieve, to sing, to be in silence, to weave our connections with all that we love and are.
We have now grown beyond XR, standing side by side ~ free to move and create alliances with those who resonate with our Declaration and principles.
THE ORIGIN OF the EARTH WISDOM TENDERS : the Message of Water
*an Earth Tenders Altar : it brings all elements onto a beautiful cloth with fire, water, soil, stones, animals, plants, mycelium, humans, ancestors, in beauty and safety.
